V e r y long pauses question - a Newbie asks

Postby thewatersedge » Thu Jan 20, 2005 11:32 am

Newbie question about pauses....can I insert a 60 or 90 or 180 second pause without problem? Is there any time limit at all? Do very long pauses substantially increase the file size say, for a 30 min file that contains only 3 or 4 minutes of actual speech? I'm thinking of making a kind of "guided meditation or instruction" CD but dont want to listen to my own voice distractions....if you know what I mean....:0 Thanks a lot.

You can insert pauses using the tag {{Pause=180||
this would be a 180 second pause.

With MP3 files the long silences probably do not add that much size to the file, but I haven't actually tested that to know.
