TA Toolbar for Internet Explorer and Windows 8.1 Preview

Windows 8.1 Preview ships with a new version of Internet Explorer, IE11. There is a security option in IE11, called Enhanced Protected Mode, enabled by default. This security mode required changes to the TextAloud toolbar for Internet Explorer. There is some additional info on Enhanced Protected Mode at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2864914.

An updated version of the toolbar is ready to test, and is included in TextAloud version 3.0.57.1 at http://www.nextup.com/files/ta3.exe. The only change in this update is the new toolbar for IE.

If you're running the Windows 8.1 preview, please install this update when you have a chance, and see if you run into any problems with Enhanced Protected Mode enabled. The option is located in the Internet Options dialog, in the Security section.

I would also appreciate any testing of this update on earlier versions of Windows to check for any compatibility problems.

If you run into any problems or have questions, just post here or email me directly at jim@nextup.com

Thanks
