Really good news!

:D I'm glad to hear this! I'm really looking forward to testing the Italian one. It sounds pretty good, judging by the demo. There's a great variety of English voices (some I bought are really good), but other languages can totally use the addition. So thanks a lot.

The Italian voice Paolo is quite good.
Incidentally, if you want to insert a tag to swithc voice to Paolo this is the tag to use (it took me a while to figure out)

Donna and German Beate

Postby Rococo1256 » Thu May 28, 2009 3:48 pm

Hello,

I'm wondering if the US English Donna and new German female Beate will ever come to the market. Also South African English Tessa. So far I don't think so, but they've been on Nuance's website for at least as long as the new Serena and Moira have been, I believe.

It will be a while on any other new ones. Tessa was developed with a South African telecom and won't be available for PC.

Serena

I love the new Serena voice. I'm re-listening to the Sherlock Holmes stories with her. Her British accent is perfect.

New Nuance RealSpeak Voices:Hindi Lekha

Postby sepl » Thu Jan 12, 2012 3:18 am

I want to know which font does Nuance RealSpeak Voice Hindi Lekha supports. Does it support the "Mangal" Font.
Microsoft Indic Language Tool for Hindi uses Mangal Font, so does this voice is useful if I have Hindi text written in Microsoft word ?

If not then what are the alternatives.

It's great to see the number of voices and languages increasing. However, I would really like to know if there is any likelihood of having a Thai voice available for TextAloud in the near future or medium-term future.
I use TextAloud for various languages and it works excellently. I have another TTS product exclusively for Thai language, which has some technical shortcomings and is not so cheap, and I have to decide whether to buy an additional license for a new computer. I'd much rather wait for a Thai voice for TextAloud if such a voice might become available.... is there more demand for a Basque or Icelandic voice, or is there some technical/legal/business reason why a TextAloud Thai voice will never become available?
