Say I have a song that has a lot of background noise say something I've recorded and I want to split the song apart so that I can extract the track/s that does not contain the unwanted background noise how would I do this?

You might try using something like Dart XP Pro or Adobe Audition. Also, you might visit denoise.com to see if they can do the job for you.

Using music editing software you can split the song into individual tracks, remove or add parts of song of your wish or delete the unwanted background noise but completely removing background unwanted noise is not possible but can be removed to some extend. Play your recordings in any audio editing/ recording software. Try it with FlexiMusic Wave Editor Software, from the menu, choose "Effect" command where in select "Noise Reduction" command from which opt either pure noise or apply noise filter so as to reduce the unwanted background noise.
