Masks and Expressions!

Postby djmorgan » Wed Mar 23, 2005 9:59 pm

I have tried to get my head around this issue using a mask or expression but to no success.

I want a voice to read "W" and say 'West', but if "HW" then to say "H" "W" at present it says "H West" well crystal does but Audrey says it correctly!

So I need help how can I handle single letters or combined single letters :oops:

Thanks

David

You are using with TextAloud?

Give me a couple of sample sentences showing both ways.

The wind is from the W
Harolds initials are HW

Both say West at "w" crystal only says H west at HW audrey says H W!

Try the following in the pronunciation editor and check case sensitive.

Input {{re=\b[W]\b}}
output <s>west

Follow up question Dave, it does not appear that the use of expression is supported with the AT&T editor 'WinDictEdit, I have a program that uses the windows interface which does not use the TA basic editor.

Is it possible to apply the same criteria in the AT&T editor?
