Hi,
I'm having an issue where the inserted Pause tags are not being recognized.
{{Pause=10}}
This does not always seem to pause for the correct duration.
Interested in any tips or best practices.
Thanks,
Jeff

Re: Pause Tag
Hi Jeff
We run across this occasionally with some voices. It seems to be voice / vendor dependent, and also depends on the pause length.
One way you may be able to work around the problem would be to chain multiple smaller length pauses together. For example, instead of using 1 10 second pause, use 5 consecutive 2 second pauses.
It that works, you could then create TextAloud pronunciation dictionaries for each 'long' pause you want to use. For example you could use something like #pause10# as your own 10 second pause tag, where a pronunciation dictionary entry 'respells' the text #pause10# as 5 consecutive 2 second pause tags.
Let me know if this doesn't help
