TA and Windows 8
I have a software program (a game, actually) that utilizes the TTS feature of Windows 8. Sometimes, the Microsoft voices in Windows 8 will mispronounce a word. Windows 8 does not provide access to the Microsoft dictionary or lexicon. So, I'm guessing I can't correct the pronunciation. TA probably can't help either, right? Just thought I'd ask.

Unfortunately you're right ... TextAloud can't help here. The pronunciation editor in TextAloud only works within the TextAloud application. You would need to contact the author of the other program and see if they have any advice.
If the program supports other Sapi5 voices, one possibility may be to use one of our premium voices at http://www.nextup.com/TextAloud/SpeechE ... oices.html. Acapela and AT&T voices include their own pronunciation dictionary utilities. So there's a chance that just using a different voice may work better, and if not, you would be able to try the voice engine's dictionary utility.
