Hi everyone. New on this forum. In t.a. 3.0x right-click menu from main window, I find plenty of choices, including saving article as text file. However, the one I really need is a simple way to save either an existing document, or a currently composed one, as mp3.
I've enabled a hot key for reading from clipboard, but no way to save it as a sound file. any ideas appreciated.

Re: easiest way to convert to mp3
To save the current article as an mp3 file, use Speak -> Speak Current Article to File. This menu entry has a keyboard shortcut assigned, Shift+F3 ... you can customize the shortcut using Tools -> Shortcut Setup.
If you have several files to convert you might want to try the Batch File Converter, located under the TextAloud tools menu.
Let me know if that doesn't help.
