New Voices from Nuance on Demo

Postby Rococo1256 » Fri Apr 27, 2007 2:43 pm

Hi Everyone,

Nuance has their Interactive Demo running again. Under RealSpeak Host, they have a bunch of New voices including Icelandic , Scottish English and Irish English.

They have also added new voices to the existing categories like UK English and German. Why are these voices under Host instead of Solo, i.e. what does that mean?

Will Nextup.com be able to acquire any of these voices within the next year?

Thanks,
Rococo1256

No idea whether/when we might get them. Not in the next few months for sure. It may be that at this point these are server only voices, sold for use in Call Centers and other high-end uses.

Hi the URL is http://www.nuance.com/realspeak/ and then click on Interactive Demo. You have to provide your e-mail address but it is free and they do not send you spam. The Icelandic voice "Ragga" is not working right now. Apparently there were some pronunciation problems and Nuance is fixing them so she is down for now.

Anyway Ken and folks, I was wondering if there are any new voices from Nuance coming?

Thanks in advance,

Sometime early next year we'll probably make a run at getting all the new ones.

Any updates on Nuance voices?

Postby Rococo1256 » Wed Dec 19, 2007 4:50 pm

Hi Ken and everyone,

I was wondering if there are any updates on US English Donna, Irish English Moira, Icelandic Ragga etc. I'm hoping they'll be available around February 2008.

Thanks,

Hi Ken,

Sorry to keep pestering you but I was wondering if there are any updates as to the new Nuance voices. Are you preparing them for sale yet? I can't wait until some new ones come on the market. :)

Thank you,

problem with Nuance Demo?

Postby Rococo1256 » Thu Jul 17, 2008 1:52 pm

Hi,

Does anyone else have a problem with the Nuance Demo? It keeps saying I have used all available requests, and it's been saying that for months now. I have cleared all info several times. I don't think it's working on their end.

Works fine for me. Maybe you should try and contact Nuance?
