Shortcut in WP X5 Not working

I am using the latest ver of TA with Wordperfect X5. I cannot get the system to stop reading with a shortcut "ctrl-shift-z"

Any suggestions or advice?

I am running under Win 8 and my wp is Wordperfect X5.

Sounds like you're trying to set up a TextAloud system wide hotkey for 'Stop' ... is that right? The most common reason why a combination of keystrokes does not work as a hotkey is that the keystrokes are already used as shortcuts in the application you're using them. The first thing to do would be try some different keyboard combinations as your Stop hotkey, and see if you can come up with a combination that works. If you are not able to find anything that works, try testing your hotkeys in other applications, such as notepad or Internet Explorer. That should tell us if we're running into something specific to Wordperfect of if the problem is system wide.
