Shorten "control voice" toolbar button captions?

How about shorten "control voice" toolbar button captions? I like having captions but I notice the ones for the "control voice" toolbar is rather long and makes the toolbar take up too much space. Perhaps use shorter words or use +/- symbols instead of those current longer words? Such as + Speed, - Speed, + Pitch, - Pitch.
