My Dictionary Jumping Queue

Postby PHenry1026 » Mon Nov 23, 2009 7:22 am

In the latest version of TA3 My Dictionary jumps to the top of the queue (of all other dictionaries) as soon as the Pronunciation Dictionary Maintenance window is closed; this started to happen immediately after I imported a new My Dictionary from TA2 using ImportTA2Pronunciations utility.

Hi Percy,

Try moving the dictionary down in the queue, and then exit the pronunciation editor dialog. If you reopen the dialog can you then move the dictionary to its correct position?

If you still have trouble, edit the dictionary xml file with an xml / text editor, and check the <Sequence> tag .... there might be something wrong with the tag. The Sequence tag value should be numbered (1, 2, 3 ...) for each of your dictionaries.

Let me know what you find.

My Dictionary Now Queued Properly

Postby PHenry1026 » Sun Nov 29, 2009 11:28 am

Greetings Jim:

I followed your instructions and opened my four dictionaries (1. My Dictionary, 2. Look Ahead, 3. Audio Clips and 4. Skip More) with XML Notepad 2007 editor.

My Dictionary showed the sequence number 1.

Look Ahead showed the sequence number 1.

Audio Clips showed the sequence number 1.

Skip More showed the sequence number 4.

I modified the sequence number of each dictionary as follows:

Look Ahead unchanged with sequence number 1.

Audio Clips to sequence number 2.

My Dictionary to sequence number 3.

Skip More unchanged with sequence number 4.

When I opened TA3, these modifications had done the trick and put the dictionaries in the desired order in the Pronunciation Maintenance Dictionary.

Thanks again Jim,

Percy Henry.

Thanks Percy, I'll take a look and see if I can find any problems related to writing those sequence numbers.
